The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism & Hospitality Education announces the conference dates for the 2008 6th APacCHRIE & THE-ICE International Panel of Experts Forum???

The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism & Hospitality Education THE-ICE would like to express our sincere gratitude for your attendance at this year?s 5th Asia-Pacific CHRIE (APacCHRIE) & 13th Asia Pacific Tourism Association (APTA) Conference in Beijing China May 24 ? 27. The joint APacCHRIE/APTA conference was hosted by Beijing International Studies University (BISU) and consisted of some 258 paper presentations on a wide variety of topics and issues.


THE-ICE takes great pleasure in announcing that THE-ICE has won the bid to organise the 2008 APacCHRIE conference. The confirmed dates of the conference are 21 ? 25 May, 2008. The conference will be hosted by the Australian School of Tourism & Hotel Management ASTHM in Perth, Western Australia. ASTHM is a partner institution of the School of Tourism & Hospitality Management Southern Cross University SCU. This will be the first time that this international conference has been hosted in Australia.

This joint convention will include invited keynote panel speakers, informative refereed presentations, and symposium/roundtable discussions which will focus on the latest in educational research. Extensive networking opportunities will be provided through the international education exchange. The joint convention presents an exciting opportunity to combine industry-relevant education and research and is open to members and non-members of I-CHRIE or THE-ICE.

Further details of venue, conference committee, call for papers and registration will become available shortly.

THE-ICE will be providing all past APacCHRIE Conference attendees with monthly updates on the Conference via an e-Newsletter. This will be a fantastic opportunity to keep up to the minute information on details of the conference and highlights on Australia and Perth Western Australia.
