1. Refereed (Full Paper) Submissions

Submissions of papers are required to be either conceptually orempirically based and will be submitted for a twenty (20) minute stand-up presentation. Papers that are not research-based should be submitted through the Symposium Track (see Symposium Track).

All submissions for Refereed Papers are subject to a blind review process. The 6th Asia-Pacific (APacCHRIE) Conference and THE-ICE International Panel of Experts Forum 2008 Paper Review Committee is responsible for ensuring a high quality and reliable reviewing process, that ensures, each paper is assigned a number and the identity of the author(s) is not revealed; and an independent evaluation is completed by 2 (two) anonymous referee who are experts in their field.

Conceptually-based papers seek to develop a fuller understanding of the tourism and hospitality industries and education by building on existing knowledge.

Empirically-based papers are original research to test or develop a theory or make a new contribution to the knowledge base of the field.

For detailed information see -
Refereed Full Paper Submission Guidelines

2. Poster Session and Working Paper Presentations (Abstract) Submissions

Submissions may be used to present works in progress and may be conceptually or empirically-based.  See Poster Session and Working Paper Presentation Guidelines.

The 6th Asia-Pacific (APacCHRIE) Conference and THE-ICE International Panel of Experts Forum 2008 Paper Review Committee will conduct a blind refereed screening of all abstracts.

For detailed information see -
Poster Session and Working Paper Presentation Guidelines

3. Symposium Submissions

The Symposium Track is a multi-dimensional channel to share a wide variety of industry and educational knowledge and experience. This is a useful channel for both industry practitioners and educators to report on the latest trends in hospitality and tourism. Symposium submissions can be used to inform others about such issues as cutting-edge technology and on the necessary skills to advance within the profession. Sessions can be created to discuss industry-education issues, challenges and achievements of educating students, working within the industry and for other industry-related topics. This channel is used to contribute to the conference through the sharing of timely information. Industry practitioners are encouraged to prepare such sessions.

Symposium submissions are encouraged to be submitted as a presentation proposal, either as an individual or as part of a group. To build a quality conference program, all submissions are reviewed and evaluated by a team of your peers. The evaluation process is competitive as time will only permit so many of these sessions. See Symposium Submission Guidelines.
